Receta Chocolate Meringue Pie

Ingredientes
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 2 sq. melted chocolate
- 3 egg yolks (set egg whites aside for meringue)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla flavor
Direcciones
- Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt with lowfat milk; add in melted chocolate. Cook over warm water or possibly low heat till thickened. Beat egg yolks, add in a little of the warm mix to yolks. Return yolk mix to the first mix, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add in vanilla. Pour into a baked pie shell.
- Top with meringue made by beating egg whites with sugar till stiff sufficient to hold peak. Place on pie, sprinkle some brown sugar on top of egg whites and brown in oven.
