Receta Connie Stevens' Italian Meat Sauce

Ingredientes
- 1 med onion, finely minced
- 30 ml garlic, finely minced
- 1 tsp sweet basil
- 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil salt and pepper to taste
- 1 1/4 lb grnd beef
- 28 ounce tomato puree
- 15 ounce tomato sauce
- 6 ounce tomato paste water
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 x bay leaves
Direcciones
- Brown onion, garlic and sweet basil in extra virgin olive oil. Add in salt and pepper. After onion is yellowish, add in grnd beef. Brown. Add in tomato puree, tomato sauce and tomato paste. Fill each can with water. Pour water into sauce. Add in sugar and bay leaves. Stir well. Cover. Simmer for 1 hour. Remove cover. Simmer 1 more hour. Serve.
