- CRUST: Heat in saucepan to boiling water and Crisco. Stir in all at once flour and salt. Stir till mix leaves pan. Remove from heat to cold slightly. Beat in one at a time, 2 Large eggs till smooth. Spread in 9-inch glass pie dish. Do not spread to sides. Bake at 400 degrees for 45-50 min or possibly till brown and toothpick inserted comes out dry.
- CREAM FILLING: Stir in slowly lowfat milk. Bring to boil. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir a little warm mix in 1 egg yolk, slightly beaten. Return to remaining warm mix. Boil 1 minute longer. Stir constantly. Remove from heat and chill. Stir in vanilla. Mix in half of whipping cream. Top with remaining whipping cream.
- OPTIONAL: Sweeten whipping cream with a little confectioners' sugar.
