Receta Crispy Batter For Deep Fried Fish Fillet

Ingredientes
- For batter
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 250 x 300ml water or possibly sufficient
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp grnd black pepper
- 1 sm egg Sift
- 4 1/2 Tbsp. plain flour
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. rice flour
- 2 1/4 Tbsp. corn flour
- 3/4 Tbsp. baking pwdr
- 3 tsp custard pwdr
- 600 gm fish fillet, (preferably garoupa), cut into thick slices
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 pch pepper
Direcciones
- Lightly season fish fillet slices with salt and pepper.
- Combine all sifted dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Make a well in the centre of the mix and add water gradually.
- Add beaten egg and stir well to mix. Add in oil to blend and mix into a batter with the consistency of pancake batter.
- Strain the batter.
- Dip the fish slices into the batter and deep-fry in warm oil till crispy and golden brown. Serve the crispy deep-fried fish dipped in chilli sauce.
