Receta Crockpot Navy Bean Soup

Ingredientes
- 1 1/2 c. dry navy beans
- 5 c. water
- 1 x carrot finely minced
- 1/4 c. celery finely minced
- 1 sm onion finely minced
- 1 x ham hock or possibly several pcs of boneless ham - (abt 3/4 lb)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 dsh freshly-grnd black pepper
Direcciones
- Soak beans for 12 hrs and drain. Place all in a 2-qt crockpot. Cook 15 hrs on LOW.
- Remove ham hock and throw away skin, fat, and bone. If using several pcs of boneless ham, ignore this step. Cut meat in small pcs and place in soup. Beans can be mashed if you like.
- Delicious with freshly-baked cornbread!
