Ingredientes
- 2 x Large eggs
- 3/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Almond extract
- 1/2 c. Granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. Light or possibly dark corn syrup
- 1 c. Finely minced dates
- 1 c. Minced nuts
- 3/4 c. All-purpose flour Powdered sugar
Direcciones
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Grease a 9-by-13-inch pan.
- Place Large eggs in large bowl. Add in salt and almond extract. Beat till light.
- Gradually beat in sugar and corn syrup. Add in dates and nuts; mix well. Sift flour. Fold into other ingredients. Pour into pan.
- Bake for 20 to 25 min. Remove from oven; while still warm, cut into 1 1/2-inch squares. (If necessary, throw away squares from the four corners of the pan; which portion may be too hard.) Shape at once into small balls, taking care not to burn your hands. Roll in powdered sugar, or possibly put sugar and cookies in a paper bag and shake.
- Yield: 3 dozen cookies. Tester's note: Moist cookie with a nice texture from the minced nuts.
