Receta Deep-Dish Strawberry Rhubarb Pie

It is addictive because the endorphin rush you get from successfully cutting butter/lard into flour and rolling it out into one flaky delicious cohesive round goes straight to your brain.
Hits all your pleasure/reward buttons. And screams for more. I mean, I love making cupcakes and cakes and all the things that buttercream dreams are made of…But there’s something about seeing a pie cooling on your kitchen table. Biting into a perfectly buttery crust. And knowing that you did that.

- 1 Pinch Ground Cinnamon
- 1 Pinch Salt
- 1/2 Cup Plus 3 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter, Chilled & Cubed
- 3/4 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
- 2 Tbsp. Cold Water
- Filling:
- 1 Lb. Fresh or Frozen Rhubarb, Sliced Diagonally
- 1 Quart Fresh Strawberries, Hulled & Quartered
- 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 Cup Cornstarch
- 1/2 Tsp. Ground Cinnamon
- 1/8 Tsp. Ground Nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- Gloss:
- 2 Tbsp. Milk
- 1 Tbsp. Granulated Sugar
