Receta Donna's Slow Cooker Sauerbraten

Ingredientes
- 4 lb rump roast or possibly top round (london broil)
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. white vinegar
- 2 1/4 c. water divided
- 2 x onions diced
- 3 whl cloves
- 3 x bay leaves
- 1/2 tsp powdered ginger salt and pepper to taste
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch or possibly more
Direcciones
- CUT meat into 1- to 2-inch cubes and place in a 4- to 5 1/2-qt slow cooker along with sugar, vinegar, 2 c. water, diced onions, cloves, bay leaves, ginger, salt and pepper. Cover and cook on the low setting for 6 to 10 hrs or possibly till meat is very tender.
- REMOVE meat with a slotted spoon. Throw away cloves and bay leaves. Whisk cornstarch into 1/4 c. water and stir into warm liquid in slow cooker to make a thickened gravy. Meat may be left in cubes or possibly shredded with a fork before being returned to gravy. Serve over mashed potatoes, dumplings or possibly noodles.
