  1. Dissolve yeast in hot water. Stir in lowfat milk, sugar, salt and shortening. Add in 2 c. flour. Beat till smooth. Add in sufficient flour to make dough easy to handle.
  2. Knead till smooth and elastic, 5 min. Raise in greased bowl till double. Punch down. Roll out cinnamon rolls or possibly cut donuts. Let rise till double. Bake cinnamon rolls till golden, about 15-20 min. Fry donuts.
