Receta Dried Fruit Compote With Port, Cinnamon, And Ginger

Ingredientes
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. ruby Port
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 x cinnamon sticks
- 2 Tbsp. finely-minced crystallized ginger
- 2 bag mixed dry fruits - (8 ounce ea) large pcs quartered
Direcciones
- Combine 1 c. water, Port, sugar, cinnamon sticks, and ginger in heavy medium saucepan. Bring to boil over high heat, stirring till sugar dissolves. Add in fruit. Reduce heat to medium. Simmer till fruit is tender and syrup thickens slightly, stirring occasionally, about 10 min. Transfer compote to bowl. Cover and refrigerateat least 4 hrs and up to 1 day.
