Receta French Onion Soup For 2
Ingredientes
- 1/4 stick butter
- 1 lg. onion or possibly 2 med.
- 2 bouillon cubes
- Salt and pepper
- 1 1/2 T flour
- Toast (French bread is good)
- Swiss cheese
Direcciones
- Saute onion in butter; add in flour mixed with water to create a paste. Add in bouillon cubes and 2 cups of water, more if desired thin soup. I like thick soup and a lot of onions. Add in salt and pepper; bring to a boil and simmer at least 1 hour.Brown toast; put in bottom of oven proof bowl. Top with 2 tbsp grated cheese. Pour soup over and place in broiler till cheese browns or possibly soup bubbles. (I got this recipe in Germany. They served it in one of our favorite restaurants.)
