Receta Gingerbread Waffles With Lemon Curd

Ingredientes
- 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp grnd cinnamon
- 1 tsp grnd ginger
- 1/4 tsp grnd cloves
- 3 lrg Large eggs separated
- 1 1/4 c. lowfat milk
- 1/4 c. unsulphured molasses
- 1/4 c. brown sugar - (firmly packed)
- 1/2 c. butter - (1 stick) melted
- 1 jar Crosse & Blackwell lemon curd - (12 ounce) heated
Direcciones
- Combine flour, baking pwdr, salt, cinnamon, ginger and cloves in small bowl. Beat egg yolks with wire whisk in medium bowl. Add in lowfat milk, molasses and brown sugar; mix well. Gradually whisk in butter and flour mix.
- Beat egg whites in small mixer bowl on high speed till soft peaks form; fold into batter.
- Cook in Belgian waffle maker according to manufacturer's directions. Serve hot with curd.
- This recipe yields 12 Belgian waffles squares.
- Comments: Can also be cooked in standard waffle maker (makes about 24 standard-size waffle squares.)
