When do you add the sour milk? Do you add it when you mix up the batter or do you add it when you mix in the flour? And why do you need to let it set in the refrigerator overnight? (Is that really necessary?)

Receta Grandmother's Sour Milk Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredientes
- 2 c. oatmeal
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. melted shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. sour lowfat milk
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Raisins
- 2 to 2 1/2 c. flour
Direcciones
- Mix sugar and shortening. Add in Large eggs, oatmeal, spices and raisins. Put in refrigerator overnight. Take out and add in 2 to 2 1/2 c. flour, only sufficient to keep dough from being too sticky. Using a tsp., place mounds of dough on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 min.
