  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 c. water
  • 6 lg. baking apples (McIntosh work well or possibly sufficient to fill 9 inch deep dish pie shell)
  • Salt & cinnamon (1 tbsp.)
  • 1 prepared 9 to 10 inch deep dish pie shell

Direcciones

  1. Boil together the sugar, water and cornstarch till thick. Add in the cinnamon and a dash of salt - set aside and let cold. Peel and core apples. Slice into pie shell. Pour sugar, cornstarch water mix over apples.
  2. TOPPING: Mix all ingredients together. This should be like a cookie dough consistency. Take large golf ball size scoops and flatten between your palms. Spread over apples. Continue to do this till you've used all the topping. Piece together to make a crust on top of apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
