Receta Greek Chicken Pita Folds

Ingredientes
- 1 med onion halved sliced
- 1 x garlic clove finely minced
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 1 1/2 tsp lemon-pepper seasoning
- 1/2 tsp dry oregano leaves
- 1/4 tsp allspice
- 4 x pita bread folds
- 1/2 c. plain yogurt
- 1 x italian plum tomato sliced
- 1/2 med cucumber minced
Direcciones
- In 4-6 qt slow cooker, combine onion, garlic, chicken, lemon-pepper seasoning, oregano and allspice; mix to coat with seasoning. Cover; cook on low setting for 6-8 hrs.
- About 10 min before serving, heat pita bread as directed on package. Meanwhile, remove chicken from slow cooker; place on plate. Sir yogurt into onion mix. Shred chicken with 2 forks. Spoon chicken onto hot pita breads. With slotted spoon, transfer onion mix onto chicken; top with tomato and cucumber. fold each pita in half to serve.
- NOTES : Lu Tried: Jan 27, 2002 - This is incredibly easy to prepare and it tastes great. Using the thighs made this nice and moist. We enjoyed the perky lemon flavor from the lemon pepper.
- Served with Greek Salad with Feta and a side of seasoned rice.
