Ingredientes

  • 1 lb Ahi tuna cut 1" dice
  • 1/2 c. minced limu kohu (red seaweed)
  • 1 tsp Inamona (see below) (roasted, crushed kukui nut, optional but very traditional)
  • 1/2 c. aloha shoyu (soy sauce)
  • 1 x Maui onion diced
  • 1 c. whole kukui nuts Hawaiian salt to taste

Direcciones

  1. Mix all ingredients and refrigeratefor 1 hour.
  2. Inamona: Roast nuts whole over a grill or possibly in a 325 degree oven till golden for 90 min. Crack 1 kukui nut, and if it is a dark brown color, they are ready. Cold nuts, scrape out the nutmeat, and chop finely. Add in Hawaiian salt, to taste.
  3. This recipe yields 8 to 10 servings as an appetizer.
