- Non stick spray coating
- 2/3 c. all purpose flour
- 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon grnd cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 c. peeled, cored & finely minced apple (2 lg.), such as Jonathan or possibly Granny Smith
- 1/4 c. frzn egg product, thawed
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. minced walnuts
- 1/4 c. applesauce
- 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 tbsp. all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp. whole wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. minced walnuts
Direcciones
- Spray 9" round baking pan with spray coating. In a medium bowl combine 2/3 c. flour, 1/2 c. whole wheat flour, baking soda, the 1 tsp. cinnamon and salt; set aside.
- In large bowl toss together minced apple and egg product. Stir in 3/4 c. sugar, 1/4 c. nuts and applesauce. Add in flour mix and stir just till combined. Pour batter into prepared pan.
- For Topping: Stir together the brown sugar, the remaining flours and cinnamon. Cut in butter till crumbly. Stir in 1/4 c. of nuts. Sprinkle topping over batter. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 min or possibly till toothpick comes out clean. Cold in pan 10 min. Remove from pan (optional) and serve hot. Makes 10 servings. Enjoy with no regrets!
