- 1 1/2 lbs great northern beans
- 1 pound ground beef
- browned and drained
- 1 onion chopped
- 3/4 lb sliced bacon, cut in half
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 T apple cider vinegar
- 1 T liquid smoke
- 1 t salt
- 1/2 t pepper
- 2 cups honey barbecue sauce
- 1 cup ketchup
- In a dutch oven place beans
- Cover beans with cold water
- Soak beans overnight
- In the morning,
- Drain beans
- Cover beans with fresh
- cold water
- Add 1/2 t baking soda to
