Receta Hearty Ham And Bean Soup

- 2 can Cannellini beans -- * see Note
- 1 can Stewed tomatoes
- 1 slc Ham -- ** see note
- 1 can Beef broth
- 2 x Limes -- ***

- 1. Drain the beans and rinse well under cool running water. Drain again. = Coarsely cut up the tomatoes, reserving all the juices. Cut the ham into 1= /4 inch dice.
- 2. In a nonreactive, medium saucepan combine the beans, tomatoes with their= juices, ham and beef broth. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring = occasionally. Partially cover and simmer for 5 min.
- 3. Squeeze the juice from 1 lime (or possibly 1/2 lemon) into the soup. Cut the rem= aining lime (or possibly 1/2 lemon) into wedges. Serve the soup warm, garnished with= the lime (lemon) wedges.
