Receta Hummus Middle Eastern Chickpea Spread

Ingredientes
- 2 can Chickpeas or possibly garbanzo beans
- 3 x Cloves garlic, (3 to 4)
- 1/2 c. Tahini (sesame seed butter) Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 2 Tbsp. Tamari or possibly strong soy sauce
- 1/2 c. Chopped parsley
Direcciones
- In a food processor or possibly blender combine all ingredients at medium speed till fairly smooth. The dip will be thick. Mix in the chopped parsley.
- Chill to store. Can be served with pita or possibly pocket bread or possibly as a dip with raw vegetables.
- Note: Tahini is often available in natural food stores or possibly gourmet shops.
- "Natural" style peanut butter can be substi- tuted, if necessary. Tamari can be purchased from natural food stores or possibly in the Oriental foods section of your grocery. Hummus is high in protein and fiber, with a pate-like flavor.
