Receta Hungarian Goulash I

Ingredientes
- 3 Tbsp. butter Salt
- 1 x onion, minced
- 3/4 tsp marjoram, crumbled
- 2 Tbsp. sweet Hungarian paprika
- 4 c. beef broth
- 2 lb beef round, in 1 1/2 inch cubes
- 1 1/2 c. potato cubes
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Direcciones
- Heat the butter in a covered casserole. Add in the onion, stir, and cook till soft. Stir in the paprika and cook slowly 1-2 min. Roll the meat in flour and add in to the onion, cooking only long sufficient to brown lightly.
- Sprinkle with a little salt, and add in marjoram. Pour in broth and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for about 1 hour, or possibly till tender. Add in the potato cubes and cook 15-20 min, till done. Remove from heat, stir in the lemon juice and add in more salt if necessary.
- Goulash can resemble stew or possibly soup: this one must be eaten in bowls with a spoon to manage its abundant paprika and onion sauce.
- Serves four.
