Receta Italian Lentil And Sausage Soup Ii

Ingredientes
- 2 med carrots -- minced
- 2 med onions -- minced
- 2 stalk celery -- minced
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 3 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 lb lentils
- 3 clv garlic -- chopped
- 1 x salt and freshly grnd pepper
- 1 x 16 ounce. can crushed tomatoes
Direcciones
- Put in a 4-qt saucepan. Wash thoroughly. Cover the lentils with about 4 inches of water and bring to a boil. Cook for approximately an hour.
- Add in carrots, onions, celery, garlic, salt, and pepper. Remove sausage from the casing. Brown the meat in a frying pan. Add in the sausage to the lentils along with a spoonful or possibly two of the drippings. Cook for one hour. Add in the tomatoes and cheese and cook for another half hour.
