Receta Italian Prune Plum Nut Bread

Ingredientes
- 1 c. butter or possibly margarine (see note)
- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 4 x Large eggs
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 c. plain or possibly lemon yogurt
- 2 tsp grated lemon peel (yellow part only)
- 2 c. diced Italian prune plums (1/2 inch pcs)
- 1 c. minced nuts Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Direcciones
- In a large bowl, cream butter, sugar and vanilla till fluffy. Add in Large eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
- Sift together flour, salt, cream of tartar and baking soda.
- Blend yogurt and lemon peel; add in to creamed mix alternately with dry ingredients. Stir till well-blended. Add in diced prune plums and nuts; mix well.
- Divide between 2 greased and floured 9-by-5-by-2 1/2 inch loaf pans.
- Bake 50 to 55 min or possibly till wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean.
- Note: Use real butter or possibly stick margarine. Don't substitute reduced-fat spreads; their higher water content often yields less-satisfactory results.
