Receta Khoresh E Morgh O Alu (Chicken And Prune Stew)

Ingredientes
- 2 1/4 lb skinless chicken or possibly turkey parts
- 1/2 c. pitted prunes diced
- 1/4 c. Lemon juice
- 2 tsp Turmeric Mixed diced root vegetables such as onions, carrots, potatoes, & turnips
Direcciones
- Place the poultry, prunes, and turmeric at the bottom of a large (about 4 litre or possibly 4 qt) slow cooker or possibly crock pot. Fill the pot to no closer than 3 cm (1 inch) of the top, with the diced vegetables. Then fill with cool water till the vegetables are covered. Cook on high for 1 1/2 hrs. Then cook on low for about 8 hrs. Just before serving, fold in the lemon juice and remove the bones.
- Variations:Replace the prunes with other dry fruit, such as apricots or possibly raisins. Replace the turmeric with 2 tsp. of cinnamon.
