Receta Lizzie's Granola
I saw this recipe on The Chew TV show by Chef Michael Symon and decided to try it as it looked delicious and healthy. I was not disappointed, it is really delicous, healthy, crunchy, tasty and is highly addictive. I put it on top of yogourt or with milk for breakfast. It is great as a snack. A MUST TRY RECIPE.
The recipe can be halved.
Ingredientes
- 4 cups rolled oats
- 2 cups unsweetened coconut
- 2 cups slivered almonds
- 1 cup cashews or shelled pistachios
- 3/4 cup olive oïl
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 2 cups of your favourite dried fruit (dates, cherries, cranberries, raisins) chopped (add only once the granola has cooked and cooled)
Direcciones
- Pre-heat the oven to 325 degrees F. Combine the oats, coconut, almonds, cashews, oïl, honey, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl and toss together to coat all the ingredients very well. Spread this mixture thinly and evenly on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Bake until golden brown for 30 minutes. Let cool completely on the baking sheet. It is important to only add the dried fruit once the granola is cooked and cooled so that the fruit does not burn . Store in an airtight container. Use on top of your favourite yogourt or with milk or as a snack.
