Receta Mamaliga Balls With Smoked Ham

Ingredientes
- 2 3/4 c. chicken stock
- 2 c. fine yellow cornmeal Oil for deep-frying
- 1/4 lb butter Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
- 1/4 c. diced smoked ham
- 1/4 c. ricotta
Direcciones
- Heat the stock to a simmer and then whisk in the cornmeal. Whisk butter, salt, and pepper into the cornmeal mix. Set aside to cold.
- When cold sufficient to touch, roll into balls about the size of a golf ball. Poke a hole in the middle and fill with 1/4 tsp. each of the ricotta and ham and roll up.
- In a deep saucepan, heat 4 inches oil to 375 degrees. Fry for 2 to 3 min in warm oil. Drain on paper towels and serve.
- This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
