Receta Maryland Fried Chicken

Ingredientes
- 2 1/2 pound broiler-fryer chicken
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- Vegetable oil
- 2 Large eggs
- 2 tbsp. water
- 2 c. cracker crumbs or possibly dry bread crumbs
Direcciones
- Cut chicken into pcs; cut each breast half into halves. Mix flour, salt, paprika and pepper in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, blend Large eggs and water. In a third bowl pour bread or possibly cracker crumbs. Heat oil (1/4 inch) in 12 inch skillet. Coat chicken with flour mix. After coating with flour, dip pcs into egg mix, then into bread or possibly cracker crumbs.
- Cook chicken in oil over medium heat till light brown, 15 to 20 min; reduce heat. Cover tightly and simmer, turning once or possibly twice, till thickest pcs are done, 30 to 40 min. If skillet can't be covered tightly, add in 1 to 2 tbsp. of water. Remove cover during last 5 min of cooking to crisp chicken. Makes 8 servings.
