Receta Masala Bhath

Ingredientes
- 1 c. Rice
- 1 x Onions minced
- 1/2 c. Peas boiled
- 1 x Carrot thinly minced
- 1 Tbsp. Cabbage minced
- 1 stalk curry leaves
- 1/2 tsp Ginger grated
- 1/2 tsp Garlic grated
- 2 x Green chillies halved
- 1 Tbsp. Broken cashews
- 1 Tbsp. Small raisins
- 1 Tbsp. Peanuts
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 2 tsp Black Maharashtrian masala
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric pwdr Salt to taste
- 1 tsp Lemon juice
- 3 Tbsp. Oil
Direcciones
- Wash and soak rice for 15-20 min.
- Heat oil in a heavy large skillet.
- Add in cashews, peanuts, fry until light brown.
- Add in green chilli, curry leaves, cumin seeds, allow to splutter.
- Add in ginger, garlic, stir. Add in onion, stir.
- Add in all remaining vegetables, raisins, masalas, rice, stir 2 min.
- Add in 4 c. water, masalas, lemon juice, salt.
- Bring to a boil, cover, simmer until done.
- Stir occasionally, add in more water if required.
- All water should evaporate when the grain is cooked.
- Serve warm with kadhi or possibly curd raitha.
