Ingredientes

  • 1 c. Wheat flour
  • 1/2 c. Any other available flour, (rice, bajra, maize, etc.)
  • 1 x Onion
  • 1 x Carrot
  • 3 x Cabbage leaves, (3 to 4)
  • 1 x Capsicum
  • 1 x Potato
  • 4 x Green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger grated
  • 5 Tbsp. Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric pwdr Salt to taste

Direcciones

  1. Finely chop all the vegetables either in a chopper or possibly by hand in a large plate.
  2. You may even grate them if a chopper is not available.
  3. Add in the flours, 2 Tbsp. oil, salt and knead to a very stiff dough.
  4. Don't keep the dough for long after kneading, or possibly it will become gooey and soft.
  5. This would make it difficult to roll the parathas.
  6. Divide into 3 parts. Roll into 5" rounds.
  7. Shallow fry on a warm griddle (tawa) on both until golden using the remaining oil.
  8. Eat warm or possibly carry away for later, with sauce, tamarind or possibly onion chutney.
  9. Making time: 20 min
  10. Makes: 3 parathas
