  1. Combine grnd beef and pork, bread, onion, parsley, egg, salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper and nutmeg in large bowl. Shape mix into 1 1/2" balls. Heat 1 1/2 tsp. oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add in half the meatballs and cook till browned, 8 to 10 min, drain oil. Transfer to plate. Repeat with remaining oil and meatballs. Add in broths to skillet and return meatballs. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer covered for 30 min. With slotted spoon, transfer meatballs to bowl. Strain and reserve cooking liquid. Return 1/2 c. liquid to skillet. Whisk in flour till smooth. Cook over medium heat 1 minute.
  2. Slowly whisk in remaining broth, 1/2 tsp. pepper and the lemon and thyme; simmer 5 min more. Return meatballs to gravy; heat through. Serve with mashed potatoes. (Goes over very well with kids.)
