Receta Mimi's Baking Powder Biscuits
Mimi was my grandmother. I never called her anything but Mimi. I was the first grandchild and I christened her with that name. It stuck and all the grand kids called her that. Sometimes her children did too. She was a tough old bird. Independent. Raised on a ranch and boy could she cook. I remember her making these biscuits on a coal stove in the little oven. They came out perfect every time! When I saw this recipe in my tin box I knew that it would fit right in with the All American theme. After all what could be more “American” than a good old baking powder biscuit. This recipe is so easy and fool proof. All I needed to make them perfect was a jar of her homemade preserves! I miss you Mimi.
