Receta Mina (Turkish Meat Pie)

Ingredientes
- 3 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
- 2 lrg Onions, minced
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Fresh grnd black pepper
- 1 tsp Grnd cinnamon
- 2 lb Grnd beef round or possibly grnd lamb
- 3 x Large eggs, beaten
- 6 sht Matzoh, about
- 1 x Egg, beaten, for glaze
Direcciones
- 1. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add in onions, cook till translucent/soft. Add in salt, pepper, cinnamon, and meat. Cook, breaking up meat, till lightly browned. Stir in 1/2 c. water. Remove from heat, cold uncovered in refrigerator for 1/2 hour.
- 2. Add in Large eggs to the meat mix and mix well, set aside.
- 3. Preheat over to 350:F .
- 4. Fill a large wide bowl with cold water and add in matzohs. Soak till wet through but not falling apart. Remove and lay on several layers of paper towels, place another couple of paper towels on top to soak up any extra water. Line bottom and sides of a 13"x9" baking pan with some of the matzohs. Cover with the meat mix. Top with remaining matzohs. Brush with beaten egg. Bake till golden, about 45 min.
