Ingredientes
- 1 lb beef minute steaks, 4 to 6 medium pcs
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp crushed peppercorn
- 1/3 c. flour
- 6 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine
- 1 med onion, sliced
- 1 c. hot water
Direcciones
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Combine the garlic salt, salt, pepper, crushed peppercorn. Sprinkle the seasonings proportionately over both sides of the steaks. Let stand for 20 min.
- Dust the steaks with the flour.
- Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add in the steaks and brown lightly on both sides, 2 to 3 min per side.
- Place steaks into a 1-1/2-qt casserole dish. Sprinkle the onion slices over the meat.
- Add in any remaining flour to the skillet which the meat was cooked in. Stir till the flour is absorbed. Add in the water and cook over high heat, stirring up the browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 1 minute. Pour over the steaks.
- Cover and bake for 35 min or possibly till the meat is tender.
