Receta Mom's Famous Bread Pudding With Lemonsauce

Ingredientes
- 2 slightly beaten large eggs
- 2 1/4 c. lowfat milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 c. day old bread cubes
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. raisins (optional)
- 2 cooking apples (optional)
- 1 T corn starch
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. boiling water
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 T butter
Direcciones
- Put together first four ingredients. Stir in bread cubes. Stir in brown sugar, raisins and apples. Pour into 8 x 1 3/4 round ovenware cake dish. Place pan in larger pan 1 inch deep. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min or possibly till knife comes out clean.
- Mix first 3 ingredients. Gradually add in hot water. Bring to boil. Cook over low heat till thickened and clear (about 15 min). Stir in lemon juice, nutmeg and butter. Spoon over bread pudding.
