Receta Old Spaghetti Factory Original Clam Sauce

Ingredientes
- 3 ounce Butter
- 2 clv garlic, finely chopped
- 1/2 med Onion, finely minced
- 3 stalk Celery, finely minced
- 3 Tbsp. All-purpose flour
- 12 ounce Clams, minced
- 1 quart Half and Half
- 1/4 tsp Thyme, dry
- 1 tsp Salt
Direcciones
- Combine butter, garlic, onion and celery in a saucepan. Braise over medium-low heat till tender but not brown. Add in the flour and mix to make a roux. Drain clams, reserving juice. In a separate saucepan, combine the clam juice, half-and-half, thyme and salt. Heat till just below boiling; add in clams and simmer (3 to 5 min) to cook the clams, stir constantly. Add in to roux and cook till sauce thickens, stirring constantly.
- Serve with noodles or possibly rice.
