Receta Orange Coffee Cake

Ingredientes
- 1 2/3 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 c. butter
- Grated rind of 1 orange
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3/4 c. lowfat milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- GLAZE (Optional) :
- Juice of 1 orange
- 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- Orange slice for garnish
Direcciones
- 1. Put together self-rising flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter to make coarse crumbs. Reserve 1 cup for topping.2. Add in rind, cinnamon, lowfat milk and egg. Mix just till moistened.
- 3. Scoop batter into a greased and lightly floured 8 inch tube pan or possibly 8 inch square pan. Sprinkle top with reserved crumbs.
- 4. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 min or possibly till a tester comes out clean. Cool in tube pan for 5 min before removing to serving dish.
- 5. If using glaze, put together orange juice with powdered sugar. Stir till blended. Drizzle over cake just before serving. Garnish with orange slice. Cut into 8 or possibly 9 pcs and serve warm.
- Tips: To make this cake with all-purpose flour, add in 1 1/2 tsp baking pwdr and 1/2 tsp salt to the all-purpose flour in step 1. Makes One 8 inch coffee cake.
