Receta Oven Baked Tomato Sauce
This is an easy and delicious way to make a tasty, slightly “kicked up” sauce to serve with your favorite spaghetti.

Ingredientes
- 3 bell peppers â any color â sliced
- 5 cloves garlic â crushed
- 1 large onion â sliced
- 3 fresh tomatoes â quartered
- 1 tablespoon capers, plus 1 tablespoon juice
- 1 jalapeño pepper â sliced â with seeds
- ½ cup fresh parsley â chopped
- ½ cup fresh basil â chopped
- 1-1lb. 12oz - can crushed tomatoes
- ½ cup olives â pitted â any color
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Olive oil
- Romano Cheese for grating
Direcciones
- Preheat Oven 350 degrees:
- Drizzle the bottom of a large baking pan with olive oil. Place all of the above ingredients in the pan. Season again to taste. Drizzle with a little more olive oil and toss.
- Place in the oven and bake for 40-45 minutes.
