- Stir the flour and salt in the centre and make a well in the centre of the flour
- Beat egg and milk together.
- Gradually add beaten egg and a little milk to the flour and stir well.
- Work in the rest of the liquid until a smooth batter.
- Melt a little lard into a frying pan.
- Once the lard has melted ladle in enough mix to cover the base of the pan and cook for 2-3 mins, making sure golden on both sides.
- Then add a topping of your choice for example lemon and sugar work well.
