Receta Pat's Shrimp Creole

Ingredientes
- 6 Tbsp. Butter
- 2 c. Coarsely minced onion
- 2 c. Coarsely minced celery
- 2 c. Coarsely minced Green or possibly
- Â Â Red bell pepper
- 1 c. Tomato puree
- 6 x Fresh tomato, peeled
- 3 x Bay leaves
- 1/4 tsp Oregano
- Â Â Healthy pinch of thyme
- Â Â Creole Seafood Seasoning
- 2 c. Seafood stock
- 1/4 c. Butter
- 2 c. Coarsely minced onion
- 1 Tbsp. Brown sugar
- 2 c. Coarsely minced celery
- 2 c. Coarsely minced Green or possibly
- Â Â Red bell pepper
- 60 lrg fresh shrimp, peeled
- Â Â And deveined
- Â Â Streamed rice or possibly jambalaya
Direcciones
- Heat 6 Tbsp. butter in 3 qt saucepan over medium heat. Add in onion, celery and pepper and saute/fry 10 min. Add in tomato puree, tomatoes, bay leaves, oregano, thyme and seafood seasoning to taste and cook an additional 10 min. Stir in stock and bring to boil. reduce heat and simmer till sauce begins to thicken, about 45 min. remove from heat and strain; throw away vegetables.
- Heat remaining butter in large saute/fry pan over medium heat. Add in onion,sprinkle wit sugar and saute/fry till golden. Add in celery and pepper and saute/fry an additional 3 to 4 min. Reduce heat, stir in reserved sauce and simmer gently 10 min. Add in shrimp and cook just till heated through. Serve immediately over rice or possibly jambalaya.
