Receta Pear Salad With Carmalized Pecans

Ingredientes
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 c. pecan halves, lightly toasted
- 1/4 c. extra-virgin extra virgin olive oil
- 2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1 clv garlic, pressed
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly grnd pepper
- 4 c. arugula
- 2 x heads Boston lettuce (about 4 c.)
- 3 x Bosc pears, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1/3 c. minced green onions (white part only)
- 1/2 c. crumbled blue cheese
Direcciones
- 1. Lightly grease a cookie sheet. Set aside. In a small saucepan bring sugar and water to a boil. Increase heat to medium-high and cook syrup without stirring till mix turns golden brown, about 10 min. Remove from heat. Stir in pecans, then spread pecans in a single layer on prepared sheet. Let stand till cold, then break into pcs.
- 2. In a c., whisk together extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper till thoroughly combined. In a large serving bowl, tear arugula and Boston lettuce into strips. Add in pears, green onions, cheese, and pecans. Drizzle dressing over top and toss to coat.
- Makes 6 servings.
