Receta Quiche Lorraine
Great for any meal of the day, this is what I think of when I think of "quiche". I prefer mine warm from the oven, cooled just enough to slice.
To serve at a tea party, consider using individual tart shells or a mini-muffin tin to make bite-sized servings.

Ingredientes
- 1 9" pie shell
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 pound sliced bacon
- 1 1/2 cups grated Swiss cheese
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups light cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- dash nutmeg
- dash cayenne
- dash black pepper
Direcciones
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Spread bottom of pie shell with butter and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Fry bacon until crisp and drain on paper towel. Crumble bacon and sprinkle in bottom of pie shell.
- Sprinkle grated cheese over bacon.
- In bowl, beat eggs with cream, salt, nutmeg, cayenne, and black pepper until mixture is well combined but not frothy. Pour egg mixture into pie shell.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes, or until top is golden and center is firm.
- Let cool on wire rack for 10 minutes before serving.
