Ingredientes

  • 8 slc White bread or possibly cinnamon-raisin bread, up to 10
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1/4 c. Sugar
  • 1 pch Cinnamon
  • 3 Tbsp. Lowfat milk or possibly liqueur, (Grand Mariner etc.), up to 4

Direcciones

  1. Remove crust from bread and cut into cubes. Heat skillet with butter and saute/fry bread. Add in sugar and cinnamon, saute/fry till golden brown. Sprinkle lowfat milk over cubes and toss to mix well. Remove from heat, cold a few min. Scoop mix into coffee c. and press onto sides of c., leaving center open.
  2. Let cold completely. Fill center with a scoop of ice cream or possibly sorbet, invert onto plate. Pour sauce over and serve.
  3. Optional Sauces:Sliced bananas mixed with some sugar and rum.
  4. Fresh fruits, raspberries, strawberries etc.
  5. Saute/fry apples and pecans with a little sugar.
  6. Maple Syrup, rum and a squeeze of lime juice.
  7. Rum Raisin Sauce; sugar and water boiled together till golden brown, add in some cream, rum and raisins.
  8. Apricot Sauce; apricot preserves heated with some water and sugar, thickened with cornstarch.
  9. Duice de Leche- caramelized sugar and lowfat milk (Not easy or possibly fast to make)
  10. Lowfat milk and sugar boiled together with a vanilla bean and a healthy pinch of baking soda for around 2 hrs over very low heat
