Receta Rhonda Brown's Awesome White Chili

Ingredientes
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 med onions minced
- 2 x garlic cloves chopped
- 2 x 4 oz cans minced green chilies
- 1Â 1/3 Tbsp. grnd cumin
- 1Â 1/2 tsp dry oregano leaves crumbled
- 1/4 tsp grnd cloves
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 4 c. chicken stock or possibly broth up to 50% more
- 4 c. diced cooked chicken
- 3 x 16 oz cans large white beans such as cannellini
- Â Â salt and pepper to taste
- Â Â grated monterey jack or possibly cheddar cheese or possibly
- Â Â both
- Â Â salsa
- Â Â lowfat sour cream
Direcciones
- Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add in the onions and garlic and cook for about 5 min or possibly till the vegetables are softened slightly. Add in the chilies, cumin, oregano, cloves, and cayenne and cook for about 1 minute longer. Add in 4 c. of the chicken stock, the beans and the chicken and cook over low heat for about 1 hour, adding stock if necessary. If using canned beans and pre-cooked chicken, add in the beans and chicken after about 40 min and cook 20 min to blend flavors. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with grated cheese, salsa and lowfat sour cream, if you like.
