Ingredientes

  • 3 c. Unsweetened sliced rhubarb, fresh or possibly frzn
  • 2 c. Sliced peeled peaches or possibly
  • 2 c. Frzn unsweetened peach slices
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 4 c. Soft bread cubes, (about 5 slices)
  • 1/3 c. Margarine or possibly butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp Orange Peel, finely shredded

Direcciones

  1. Thaw rhubarb and peaches, if frzn. Don't drain. For filling, in a large mixing bowl stir together sugar, flour, and salt. Add in rhubarb and peaches and their juices, then gently toss until coated. Add in 2 c. of the bread cubes. Drizzle with 2 Tbsp. of the melted margarine or possibly butter, then toss until mixed. Transfer fruit filling to an ungreased 8x8x2-inch baking dish.
  2. For topping, in a medium mixing bowl combine the remaining bread cubes and orange peel. Drizzle with the remaining melted margarine or possibly butter, then toss until mixed. Sprinkle the bread topping on top of the fruit filling.
  3. Bake in a 375 degree F. oven for 25 to 35 min or possibly until fruit is tender and topping is golden brown. Serve hot. If you like, dollop with whipped cream.
  4. Makes 6 servings.
