  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • 1/2 pound warm or possibly mild Italian sausage cut 1/2" slices
  • 1 c. minced onion
  • 2 teaspoon oregano leaves, crushed
  • 1 can Campbell's Cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounce) Campbells tomato soup
  • 1 c. water
  • 4 c. cooked wide noodles
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese cut in half diagonally

Direcciones

  1. In frying pan, brown beef and cook sausage and onion with oregano till done; stir to separate meat. Pour off fat. Add in soups and water. Refrigerate overnight. In separate container refrigerate noodles overnight.Put together meat mix and noodles, pour into 2 qt shallow baking dish; 12 x 8 x 2 inches. Cover; place in cold oven. Bake at 400 degrees for 40 min or possibly till hot; stir. Top with cheese slices; bake till cheese melts.

    My grandma used to make this, and we all have made it regularly. It is frequently requested and never any leftovers.
    We don't refrigerate anything, just cook, assemble, and bake.
    Also, we add mushrooms to the frying pan.
    Try 1 c of milk instead of the water, and Campbell's Tomato Bisque soup has a better taste to it than regular tomato!
    Such a good and simple recipe! Now on the 4th generation's routine menu as well.
