Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. plus 1 Tbsp. meringue pwdr* (125 mL plus 15 mL)
  • 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. hot water (250 mL plus 30 mL)
  • 12 c. icing sugar (3 L)
  • 3/4 tsp cream of tartar (4 mL)

Direcciones

  1. Combine all ingredients in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment. Start on slow speed, and as the mix begins to come together, increase the speed. Mix for 6 to 8 min or possibly till fluffy and shiny; it may be necessary to scrape down the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula after the first 3 min so which all the ingredients can be fully incorporated. Keep covered with a damp towel till ready to use (see Cook's Note*). Use to decorate gingerbread houses and cookies.
