  1. Lb. the slices of rouladen between sheets of plastic.
  2. Mix the flour, salt and pepper and set aside.
  3. Combine the cream cheese, spices and garlic. Spread each slice of rouladen with the cream cheese mix and roll the slice and secure with a toothpick. Roll each rouladen slice in the flour mix.
  4. In a fry pan, heat vegetable oil and brown each rouladen roll. Add in the soy sauce and beef broth and bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer covered for 10 min till cooked.
  5. Remove rolls from pan, remove toothpicks. Place rolls on serving dish, keep hot. Boil stock in pan till reduced by half. Add in cream and parsley. Pour over rolls.
  6. NOTES : The recipe suggest using 1 kg of rump steak. It states to trim steak, cut into 8 pcs. Flatten each piece with meat mallet to approximately 12cm square. I purchase thin slices of rouladen at my butchers and I like the end results.
