Receta Savory Stuffed Onions

Ingredientes
- 6 lg. onions
- 4 slices bacon, minced
- 1 apple, peeled, cored & minced
- 3/4 c. herb seasoned stuffing mix
- 2 T chicken broth/stock or possibly water
- 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon celery seed
- 1/4 teaspoon dry savory, crushed

- Peel onions. Cut a thin slice off bottom to make onions stand level. Cut a slice from top; hollow out onions, leaving about 1/4 inch thick shell. Chop centers and tops. Measure 1 1/2 cups; store remaining onion for another use.In a 4 cup glass measure put together the 1 1/2 cups minced onion, bacon and apple. Cover; cook in microwave on 100% power (high) for 5-7 min or possibly till bacon is cooked, stirring once. Don't drain. Stir in remaining ingredients. Spoon mix into onions. Place onions in a 12 x 7 1/2 x 2 inch baking dish. Cover with waxed paper. Microcook for 18-20 min till tender, giving dish a quarter turn 3 times. Let onions stand 5 min before serving. Makes 6 servings.
