Ingredientes
- 1/2 lb margarine
- 1/2 lb onion, 1/4" diced
- 1/4 lb green pepper- 1/4" diced
- 2 Tbsp garlic, crushed in oil
- 1/2 lb flour
- 1 1/4 gal chicken stock
- 3/4 cups Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 Tbsp basil leaves, crushed
- 3 each bay leaf, whole
- 1 oz tabasco sauce
- 1 Tbsp Old Bay seafood seasoning
- 2 oz lemon juice
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 2 1/2 lb frozen okra
- 2 cups tomato paster
- 3 1/2 lbs shrimp, frozen, cooked, P&D
- 3 Tbsp file powder
Direcciones
- Melt margarine, saute onions and peppers until onions become transparent (7-8 minutes)
- Add crushed garlic, start to sweat flavor out
- Stir in flour to create roux; allow this to cook for 5-10 minutes until flour taste is gone
- Add remaining ingredients besides shrimp and file powder
- Heat to boiling, reduce heat and simmer 20-25 minutes
- Stir in shrimp, heat to at least 185F
- Remove bay laeves and stir in file powder. Serve.
