Receta Slow Cooked Swiss Steak

Ingredientes
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp dry thyme
- 1/4 tsp Hungarian sweet paprika
- Â Â Salt to taste
- Â Â Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
- 2 lb beef round steak cut into 6 to 8
- Â Â serving-size pcs, pounded to tenderize
- 1Â 1/2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. canola oil
- 1 lrg garlic clove chopped
- 2 x celery stalks thinly sliced
- 2 c. thinly sliced onion - (to 3 c.)
- 4 med tomatoes thinly sliced
- 1/2 c. beef broth or possibly stock
Direcciones
- Combine flour, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Baste steak pcs with Worcestershire sauce, then dredge in the flour mix. Heat oil over medium-high heat and brown steak pcs about 5 min on each side.
- Transfer steak to crockpot. Sprinkle garlic and celery over steak, then add in the sliced onion and tomatoes. Pour beef stock into the warm skillet to loosen brown bits; pour over steak. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hrs (on HIGH 4 to 5 hrs).
- This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
